Olivia and Carter’s wedding day in Waiporous, Alberta was truly a celebration to remember. From the moment we arrived with my second photographer in the morning, the excitement was palpable. The couple had rented canvas tents from Lavish Canvas, which set the perfect rustic yet elegant tone for the day. Inside, the tents were beautifully decorated, creating stunning backdrops for the getting ready photos. The combination of natural light filtering through the canvas and the thoughtful décor made capturing those intimate moments a joy.

Once Olivia and Carter were ready, we moved down to the river area where their ceremony was held. The location couldn’t have been more idyllic, framed by breathtaking mountain views and a thoughtfully crafted mountain arch. Their handwritten vows were heartfelt and deeply moving, and witnessing Carter’s first look at Olivia walking down the aisle was a highlight, pure joy radiated from his expression.

After the ceremony, we gathered the family in front of the mountain arch for some classic portraits before setting out to capture the bridal party and formal photos. Waiporous offers an endless supply of scenic backdrops, from lush forests to riverbank views, making it easy to find the perfect setting for every shot.

As evening approached, everyone sat down for a delicious buffet style dinner that reflected the laid-back, intimate vibe of the day. The evening progressed with heartfelt speeches followed by fun games that had everyone laughing and enjoying themselves. To cap off the night, a large bonfire was lit, providing warmth and a cozy atmosphere where guests mingled, played games, and shared drinks under the open Alberta sky.
