Dusky Sunset Engagement Session at Glennifer Lake

A Golden Hour Backdrop at Glennifer Lake

The serene landscape of Glennifer Lake provided the perfect backdrop for Brianna and Nolan’s engagement session. Referred by a previous client, I was excited to meet this lovely couple and capture their special moments as they prepared for their wedding journey. Brianna and Nolan met at Ranchman’s, a place that holds a special significance for them, much like it does for me and my husband. It's exciting to meet a couple who share this unique connection, as it evokes fond memories of our own beginnings. Their story adds a layer of familiarity and warmth, making their journey together that much more relatable. From the lively atmosphere of Ranchman’s to the moments that led them to each other, Brianna and Nolan embody the spirit of love that can flourish in the most unexpected places.

As we arrived at Glennifer Lake, we found ourselves in a beautifully unique setting. The lingering chill of winter was still present, but the promise of spring was palpable. Our intention was to capture the couple with some unfrozen water, and the river did not disappoint. While much of the area was still wrapped in winter’s embrace, patches of shimmering water reflected the soft hues of the evening sky.

The atmosphere that evening was beautifully moody. A gentle gloom hung over us, setting a tranquil tone. However, just as we were getting into the session, the sun broke through the clouds at the perfect moment. The golden hour light poured over the scene, casting a warm glow on Brianna and Nolan. We utilised this magical light to create stunning images that beautifully highlighted their love and connection.

Brianna and Nolan brought their personalities into the shoot with ease. Their joy and affection for each other radiated, making it a pleasure to capture candid moments. We wandered along the lake's edge, capturing images that encapsulated their playful spirit and deep bond. The combination of the vibrant setting, complemented by the subtle winter chill, resulted in photos that felt both timeless and fresh.

As we wrapped up the session, I felt grateful for the opportunity to work with such a wonderful couple in such a picturesque location. The engagement shoot at Glennifer Lake not only captured Brianna and Nolan’s love but also served as a reminder of the beauty nature offers, even in transitional seasons.

I look forward to seeing how their story unfolds and am excited to be part of their journey. With memories like these, it’s evident that their future together will be filled with love and adventure.
