This Isn't a Show Up and Shoot Experience

My Approach

Most photographers show up, take photos, and leave. That's not what you're getting here. An Alberta elopement deserves real planning, real guidance, and a photographer who's as invested in your day as you are.

That's where I come in.

I've scouted every trail, timed every light, and helped dozens of couples turn a simple idea into the best day of their lives. You get more than beautiful images. You get local insight, thoughtful preparation and someone who knows how to make the day feel easy.

The Canadian Rockies reward thoughtful planning. I bring the preparation, so you can be fully present on your wedding day.

More Than Photography. A Banff & Destination Elopement Experience.

Every Package

No surprises. No nickel-and-diming. Every Wild at Heart elopement package includes real planning support, local expertise, and everything you need to feel fully taken care of.

Location Planning & Permit Guidance

I know these mountains deeply. I'll help you choose locations that match your energy, secure the necessary permits, and handle the logistics so nothing gets in the way of your day.

A Custom Day-of Timeline

Built around light, season, travel time, and your pace. Not rushed, not rigid — designed to give you space for ceremony, portraits, quiet moments, and whatever the day brings.

You don't need to know how to pose. I guide you gently and in the moment so your photos feel relaxed, honest, and entirely like the two of you — never stiff or staged.

Natural Posing & On-Day Direction

Florals, officiants, a mountaintop picnic setup — if you want it, I know the right people. Or keep it just the two of you. Either way, I have you covered.

Vendor Connections When You Want Them

High-Resolution Gallery & Full Print Rights

Every edited image delivered in full resolution with a lifetime personal print license. Yours to print, share, and keep — no restrictions, no expiry date.

Planning Support Before, During & After

From the moment you reach out to the day your gallery arrives, I'm in your corner. Questions, ideas, last-minute changes, nerves the night before — all of it.

The Wild at Heart Banff & Destination Elopement Experience Is Built for You If…

Is This For You?

  • You want to elope in Banff, Canmore, Kananaskis, Lake Louise or somewhere else in the Canadian Rockies, but you don't want to figure out every detail alone.

  • You care more about meaning, scenery and connection than performing for a room full of guests.

  • You want photos that feel natural, emotional and honest.

  • You want a photographer who can help with locations, timing, poses and the little details that make the day smoother.

  • You want your elopement to feel like a shared adventure you'll always remember.

The Difference

What a Wild at Heart Elopement Looks Like

From helicopter rides and mountaintop vows to horse-drawn sleigh rides, forest ceremonies and hikes to the perfect spot, this is a glimpse into the kind of wild-hearted elopement experience we can create together.

What a Wild at Heart Elopement

Looks Like

An Elopement Photographer Who Knows Where the Wild Moments Happen

Meet Sky Noton

I'm Sky, a Banff elopement photographer based in Cochrane, Alberta, right on the edge of the Canadian Rockies. I've spent years photographing couples in these mountains, and I still believe there is nothing like watching two people realize: This is where we're getting married.

Your mountain elopement should feel like an adventure, not a day built for everyone else.

Wild-hearted doesn't have to mean extreme. It can be quiet vows at sunrise, wind on a mountaintop, a trail to the perfect view or a wedding day that simply feels free, personal and fully yours.

I help you plan the day, guide you through the experience and step back when the real moments happen.

Calgary Luxury Editorial Wedding Photographer

"Sky was a wonderful photographer. She helped us pose and captured beautiful candid photos of our ceremony. I would highly recommend her to any couple. Our ceremony was an elopement in Banff, AB Canada. She helped us decide where to go for the photos and she listened to our desires and helped us get some of the photos we really wanted. She photographed us at the Tunnel Mountain Reservoir, Two-Jack Lake, and in the woods somewhere between the two! We could not be happier with our results."

Your Banff Elopement Should Feel Wild, Intentional, and a Little Untamed

Why SkyBluePhotography

You're not choosing Banff because you want ordinary. You're choosing it because something about the mountains feels more honest than a ballroom. Because you'd rather say your vows with wind in your hair than under fluorescent lights.

That is the kind of day I help you create and photograph.

01

Places that feel like you

Not every lake, trail, or viewpoint has the same energy. I help you find the place that fits your pace, your comfort level, your guest count, and the kind of memory you want to carry home.

02

A plan with room for the wild

Mountain days need structure, but they should never feel rigid. I help with timelines, permits, weather plans, and logistics so your day can unfold without feeling over-managed.

03

Photos without the performance

You don't need to know what to do with your hands. You don't need to act like someone else. I guide gently, keep things moving, and let the honest moments lead.

04

The whole damn feeling

The view matters. So do the nerves, the wind, the laughter, the mud, the stillness, and the way it felt to stand there together. Your photos should hold all of it.
